Coding!!??@~# Scared, don't be!

This week I took my first look at a coding programme designed for beginners. A scary concept  for anyone who hasn't looked at what happens behind the scenes!

Hour of Code is a fantastic programme which helps anyone begin to see how programmes are put together.

This is a huge part of the new curriculum, so we all need to start investigating ourselves to help teach the children in our classes.

I found the programme extremely easy, but them it was only level 1!

The programme gets progressively harder with each level, but as it does so it clearly explains the additional elements to need to include.

The programme is set up with a range of games, so children will not necessarily understand they are coding, they will just be doing it!
